"He taught me to have no fear or shame of my own ideas, to design perpetually,
to seek no popularity, to be altogether myself"
Edward Burne-Jones speaking of Rosetti
I was six or seven when I first found my love of the Pre-Raphaelites. Their romanticised vision of life captured my heart and filled my mind with dreams. I became a dreamer at a young age and I never seemed to awake. When I eventually picked up the camera some time later, I began to experiment with story telling and re-telling fairytales, and the stories I loved as a child.

When I first started my blogger journey, it was a way to express these dreams and share my photography and modelling work. Sadly, it's been a while since I shared anything a little different on here, but anyone who knows me, will tell you how much I have been whining about the lack of creativity on this page of late.

The above quote was taken from the Memorials of Edward Burne-Jones as written by his wife, Georgiana Macdonald Burne-Jones, which I have been reading of late. There is something so romantic about the way she reflected upon her late husbands life, his family, his friendships and his work. This sparked an urge to express something creatively and after a recent trip to Surrey, that is exactly what I have done.

As you grow up, it is quite easy to loose track of your dreams, and to try to follow the steps set out for you. Luckily for me, I come from a family of creatives where dreams are encouraged. I'm starting to find my path, through blogging as well as life. I'm becoming vegan, and more conscious of what I put in and on my body and I am becoming more determined to turn this page into a creative output. To focus on nature. To create my dreams and to share them.

As I have already mentioned the Memorials once, I feel it is worth noting that GBJ had a wonderfully creative expression. The admiration she felt for her husband was beautiful and completely inspiring. The pages are not only about his life, but about how she felt being a part of it and I must say, it is a life I wish I, myself, were a part of:

"I felt it was well being amongst those who painted pictures and wrote poetry".

  1. Good to know about it. For girls, often it is hard to fulfill their dreams. However if families encourage them to fulfill their dreams and support them then they can perform even better than men. PhD dissertation writing service
